Old Man Ryu!

Fundamentalist Christians think that Walmart's prices are so low, that it must be the devil trying to tempt them into debauchery.

Henry did a very fleshy Storm... makes her look like a mother. I always thought of her as a crone.

Finally, back when I was delusional and thought that SF4 would actually be a progression in the streetfighter mythology, I imagined that Ryu, after training under Oro would be the last boss. I told Henry about it and he started petting his supervillain cat and saying "Yesssss, Brian...that's a good idea."

facial sketch #2

I felt a bit better about tonight's sketch challenge. Criteria is still the same. I felt a bit more loose and relaxed. Guess it's an improvement?

facial sketch - 01

Okay in my "imaginary" down time from projects, I created a challenge for myself. Everyone is more than welcome to join in too!

Criteria:
1. Time limit - 15 min
2. Has to be in monochromatic
3. If digitally, ONLY the brush tool can be used. Traditionally, pencil, pen, paint whichever. The main point is NOT erasing! So scribble all over it
4. Focus on the facial anatomy - background & body is optional as long as not exceeding 15 min.
5. Light source has to be used
6. References NOT allowed
7. Can NOT be the same face again and again. (I plan to do a couple for the rest of the week)

To everyone, facial anatomy might be easy, but I have been a bit on the rusty side so this is what I set for myself. =)

As people can see...I have prob with shading the nose >___<

Here are the other 3 illustrations that went with the previous portrait. My friend wanted this little girl to be in 3 different settings and scenes, so she has spring, winter and summer =)

It's been a while...

Figured I'd put up a quick sketch that's part of some fun stuff I'm workin on - you know, side stuff for the side stuff. Well, when things haven't been crazy for me, I've been playing my fair share of SF4 and started thinking "Why didn't my girl Karin from Alpha 3 make the cut for SF4?". Since there was no answer to my question -well, other than most people probably didn't like her-I decided I'd do it.

So, here is one of the design sketches I'm doing up for how i would have liked Karin to look in SF4 or even SF3 -I'm not picky here. Like I said earlier this is just a quickie.

-J.U.NICE!

Here's 2 of the 4 illustrations I have to do for a friend. I still need to color it but I'm waiting on the "okay" before I start. As for the last illustration that I started....uh. I got attacked by Elmo so I'm still recuperating. I'll jump on it afterward. ahaha
