Tribute to Steve (aka McInkco).

Here's a long over due pic I have done in tribute to one of my
greatest inspirations Mr. Steve Ellis.






He has helped me plenty thru the years or our friendship and
the only one to push me to actually start coloring things digitally.

It's a villian named "Iceman" that I created for one of Steve's
first animations back in the day at crappy old AIPH.

Iceman is trapped in a time when you're fridgration was actually
delivered daily, which was just a big chunk of "ICE".

No fancy gadgets or mad schemes here, just pure brutality
of cold hard strength that only a mother would love.

Here's to you steve, take a bow.

Hello everyone, once again a mighty sketch-battle has commenced.
It was between Mr.Madman Mcinko and his trusty bootineer, BERTIUS.

Title: Weiner-dog sandwiches as a video game (Cover box art).
Time: 1 hour.

Yes! That's right, clever we were.

Funny though, because steve and I went completely opposite points of the spectrum for our snappy title, which is very cool.

I was thinking food, he was thinking doggie.

Technically, I was in the wrong of the title, but hey -it was fun :).

This is why the great and mysterious way of the sketch-battles aurora can be fulfilling. You never know how it will be preceived in the minds of its hosts.

WARNING: convention conspiracy

Hey guys =)

I finally managed to get a table at Otakon this year, which was awesome. However, there have been a huge conspiracy with a particular "artist" taking up 14 tables for herself and continuing being the attention whore that she have always been. She have a nice marketing scheme, stating that she is 14 when in truth she is over 20. Of all the great luck she was right next to me during the 3 days, and i even helped her when her display fell.

I would've kept it quiet, but this person almost got AA getting shut down. The final straw is saying that being an ARTIST and making art for a living is stupid, waste of time and we are to be forever poor. She has no respect for art, she is there to make money with the infamous shiny art that she does with the burn and dodge tool.

Anyway, this is just a fair warning to watch out for her. She steals artwork on forums (especially DA) and proclaim that she was inspired to draw the same thing to sell. Plus she's a good enough reason why it's hard to get tables at cons since she have her whole family taking up tables under different names.

by the way...it is also addressed by the Otakorp regarding this last week.

Goulash Ad Snippet

Here's a small visual snippet of the ad from Ground Up Studio's anthology. The ad was done to promote this blog as well as the versatile amount of artists on here. This ad was extremely fun to do, and it was a collab with a bunch of the studio members with each member illustrating their Ground Up spinoff on each stage of the evolution line. Can anyone out there take a stab at who drew which character???

Lastly, to see the entire ad in it's glory as well as all the stories and other artwork you'll definitely should pick up the book. Sorry no freebies UNLESS you participated in the book that is. Everybody else will have pay.

Business logo for Pet Sitter

Sup y'all. I just finished a freelance gig for my wife's pet sitting business.

She is starting it up after the holiday weekend.

The idea is Noah's ark, mobilized with household pets aboard.

I keep the design 2D and simplified. I used a wacom tablet, drew, and designed

everything in Photoshop CS. Pshop is not my forte, but i took up the challenge.

I used mostly lasso tools along with pencil, brush, and marque tools as well.

It was a fun holiday weekend exercise and i enjoyed it. The important thing is

the wife loved it ;)

Any feedback would be sweet it's the only way my work will continue to

shape n grow.
